PH Pianos and PH Furniture is a collection of special, collectible pieces with a rich design heritage, all designed by Poul Henningsen in the 1930s and produced under the exclusive worldwide license by ToneArt, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. At ToneArt, we have studied every facet of Henningsen's designs and have accumulated years of expertise in handcrafting each piece, whatever form it takes.
Impeccable Level of Detail
Every frame is built by hand. Everything from a piano case or a table base begins the same way. The wood veneers, finishes, and metal trims that shape a piano's exterior are given the same attention as the joinery of a chair or the proportions of a table. Each piece, large or small, is assembled and inspected by our craftsmen to the same exacting standard.
Precise and Careful Work
With every PH piece, customers can expect excellence in craftsmanship, material, and the highest level of attention to detail. For instance, the lid of the PH Grand Piano takes 24 days to hand-carve. A chair's upholstery is stitched with the same patience as the leather banding on the PH Grand Piano. From the curvature of the bows atop the PH Bow Grand Piano to the finish on a single table leg, every detail is constructed with care.
